We provide free consultancy services to asylum seekers and refugees including training and support opportunities since 2016.
Our main beneficiaries are adult asylum seekers and immigrants majority of whom from BAME and vulnerable communities. Most of them must navigate complex rules and procedures, and they often continue to face substantial barriers to integration in terms of access to social life, employment and more.
Our Services includes;
Interpreting Support
We help the most vulnerable migrant people in our community who have been fighting against the poverty, language barrier and the Coronavirus whilst in isolation in terms of interpreting on their behalf for the arrangement of vital services.
Regular Group Zoom Meetings and 1-1 Sessions
Many migrants struggle to feel a sense of community. Our programme gives them emotional support and the ability to communicate in English better.
Employment support
Our employment and integration advisers and volunteers work with individuals on writing their cv, applying for jobs and preparing for interviews.
Immigration advice
Our in-house solicitor provides one-to-one sessions and telephone support on a weekly basis to refugees and asylum seekers.
Welfare support
We inform individuals about the current regulations about economic packages, local business updates.
Volunteer Support
Our volunteers stay in regular contact with an immigrant to talk, be supportive, and build a positive relationship to lower the anxiety and keep people resilient.
